  • No I don't think so.

  • My child loves Maths and is enthusiastic about learning more complicated processes. Loves being challenged eg. mental maths.

  • I am happy with Maths taught in school.

  • My child is already receiving help with Maths.

  • Too easy!

  • It would be useful for the school to run a maths class for the parents to show how they teach subtraction, etc and teach them other areas they don't know eg. shapes.

  • No, unless there's more one on one needed for children who need it.

Is there any way the school can improve its approach to homework?

  • Daily homework amount is fine. Would prefer a break at the weekend though!

  • No homework at weekends.

  • I am happy with homework given and do check it and sign the homework diary.

  • No homework on a Friday!

  • Don't give homework at weekends - kids need a break.

  • Maybe a little more flexability in getting off homework if there'a a lot of family activities to allow more family time.

  • They could give more homework off at the weekends.

  • No homework at weekends - weekends are very busy with sports and activities.

  • No weekend homework until 5th class.

  • No this is ok.

  • No we like that the children use some books for homework.

  • The school bag is very heavy - today my child's bag was 6kg! Also spelling tests should be signed by parent.

Any comments or suggestions.

  • My child is very content at school. Well done.

  • P.E. should be carried out as per "allocation" and not be passed over on a regular basis.

  • In Irish I feel they spend so much time learning the spellings they don't give themselves time to learn the meanings.

  • New Wave Mental maths is a very good general revision book.
